Looking For A Torrific Alternative? Try These!
Torrific offered a handy service for users who needed to download torrents files but could not use Bittorrent software or seedboxes for it. The service basically did all the hard working for the user. It downloaded the files attached to the torrent to their servers, and provided users with direct http download links. Torrific unfortunately though has been down for the last few days, and it is unlikely that the service will return again.
I have received emails and user comments from several users who wanted to know if there is an alternative to Torrific. There is, and it goes by the name BitLet. It is a web Bittorrent client that is powered by Java. You can just visit the website to get started right away, an account is not needed. Torrents can be added in two ways, first as web urls and second from the local computer system. You can paste in urls right away, or click on the select local torrent button to select a torrent from your system.
A click on download torrent opens a download window that displays information about the download status.
You are asked to select a destination directory for the files, and sit back afterwards as everything else is handled automatically from that moment on. Once finished, you can keep the torrent open to continue seeding it, or close the window to close all connections.
Bitlet on the other hand is not completely identical to Torrific, as the latter service downloaded the files first to their service, before they were made available as http downloads to the user.
Users more interested in an identical service can try ziTorrent, which offers pretty much the same functionality as Torrific. A free account is good for 10 Gigabytes of traffic, with a maximum file size of 1 Gigabyte per torrent per month. The service did not work that well though during tests, but this may have been a temporary flux.Advertisement
thanks for the information, what there other sites like torrific & ziTorrent
The Web-based BitTorrent Client Like as torrific.com (btaccel.com):
Well ziTorrent might be a good alternative but there are tons of paid site that offer torrent leeching support. If you willing to spend some buck then a better alternative would be Filefactory, Zevera, or LeechPack. If you spend some time on Google I believe there are still plenty of site that offer torrent leeching like Torrific, but for user who not willing to spend on service, ziTorrent might help though I have not tested it yet.
Anyway thank for this well written and informative article.
I tried ziTorrent but there is a “part” behind file extension. E.g. ebook.pdf.part I can’t open the file even if I delete away the .part. Am sure download is completed. Anyone know how to deal with it?
Bitlet.org is painfully slow…i’ve tried myself and give up using the service…torrific is way more faster (before its dead)
Just let us know when the Torrific come into action. Torrific is best.

torrific come back……missing u……ALTERNATIVES ARE SUCKING
I hope that Torrific be resurrected for good. I really miss this thing and any alternatives really are painfully slow. The more I search and try those craps, the more I want Torrific back. Damn those internet issues of the US.
Bitlet.org is a fake & ****ing site
Torrific was definitely unique.
Hopefully someone will apply whatever business model it was using and bring a similar site online (and not in the USA).
ZbigZ.com may the one alternative so far ..
thanks maron :)
far away from torrific, ITS NOT SIMILAR!!
Found 2 Torrific similar sites here:
zbigz seems to work will experiment some more. an added benefit vs torrific is it has a player so you can watch it as soon as its uploaded to proxy site, instead of download then watching.
Torrific rockzzz other sites **********
Try a new service
it is easy 2 use and it its great
could you please help me, where could i find the files i which i downloaded, i mean, i accidentally deleted the torrent in the bitlet page, and close the java app.
but when i’m searching the file on the directory that i chose, i cant find it, neither thru search. i already tried finding it in the temporary files in the java folder yet i failed.
it already occupied 7.28gb of space in my hard drive, and i want it back. thanks to those who will reply.
Try zbigz.com its just like torrific!!!
zbigz is downnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn
I’ve tried using Zbigz. Works like torrific but will never be the same as torrific when it comes to usablity and speed. Transloading time on zbigz is very slow. And the best thing about torrific is it’s free and speeds are always maximum.
Dont bother getting a ZBIGZ premium account because the speed is still as slow as the free account even though I have high speed internet.
Hey people..I use a blackberry torch and I can’t use bitlet it says I don’t have java..help please
i advise everyone to use zbigz.com
