Upload Zipped Files To FTP To Mail The Links
Email is not the best option to transfer large files. One of the reasons why it is not, are attachment limits that make email servers reject emails that are larger than a specific size.
Many users help themselves by uploading the attachments to file hosts first to only include the link to the file hosts server in the email. Some email programs, like Thunderbird, and email providers, like Gmail or Outlook, have integrated this option in recent time.
It is then up to the recipient to download the file from the file hosts server. But file hosts are sometimes not the best solution either, especially when it comes to important files. One reason why that is the case is that the files are uploaded to a third party, and usually made available publicly.

FTP Mail Zipper offers another option, at least on Windows systems. It combines, as the name suggest, options to zip, ftp and mail files. It can automatically zip files that are added to its interface, and upload them to a linked ftp server. The information to download the files from the ftp server is then added to the email , so that the recipient can download the file from the FTP server.
Some settings have to be configured during the first startup. This includes adding at least one ftp with account information to the program. FTP Mail Zipper supports ftp profiles which make it possible to switch quickly between different ftps.
It is furthermore possible to use an email template which will then be used automatically when sending the email to the recipient. The application has also an option to list the hosted files that have already been uploaded to ftp servers with the option to delete, rename or download those files.

Update: Please note that the program has not been updated since 2009. While it should work fine on newer versions of Windows, it may be better to use options built-into email clients and services nowadays to make larger files available to email recipients.

FTP Mail Zipper all in all though is a handy program that you may like if you have access to at least one FTP server, and need to transfer large files regularly.
