The one thing I know and appreciate about Apple products is their innovation and creativity. Durability, appearance, and a flawless fast operating system come as an additional advantage with their products to guarantee a great gadget. We see the very first Apple watch coming into the technological scene on the 24th of April 2015 and it become the fastest-selling product as Apple users rushed to get their hands on one.

Another added advantage to using Apple products is the constant upgrades on their operating system. Commonly if you own an Apple product the upgrades can be downloaded easily onto your gadget. So you always have the latest operating system for free even with an older gadget all subject to compatibility of course.

Today Apple released the watchOS9.4 major update which is the fourth watchOS9 operating system. The first launch happened in September 2022. The current update comes two months after the last one which was watchOS9.3.

As I have already mentioned that you can get the download for free. This update can be downloaded through the Apple Watch App on your iPhone by opening it and going to General>Software Update. To do the installation of the new software the Apple watch needs at least 50 percent battery and placed on a charger and needs to be within range of your iPhone

Features To Look Out For With the New Download

  • The watchOS 9.4 update supports new emoji characters that include goose, donkey, shaking head, blackbird, pea pod, hyacinth, and more.
  • The update introduces a change in its wake-up alarms which don't silence with the mute gesture. This will assist in preventing accidental cancellations during sleep.
  • AFib Cycle Tracking and History has been expanded to new countries. watchOS 9.4 has included some improvements to the Apple watch by bringing new features to new regions. AFib History is now available in Malaysia, Colombia, Thailand, Moldova, and Ukraine.
  • There’s also cycle tracking with cycle deviation alerts and ovulation estimates now supported in Ukraine and Moldova.

The watchOS9.4 is expected to be the final update of the watch OS operating system as the transition to watchOS 10 begins. This is set to be previewed at the Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) in June. The event usually has thousands of developers from around the world. Apple is known to make big announcements on any new features and updates on software during this conference. They also give out some new tools and technologies that enhance product development.
