Instagram is one of the most popular social media platforms in the world, with over 1 billion active users. However, like any other online service, it can sometimes experience problems.

Instagram not working errors are relatively common and can occur for various reasons

Why is Instagram not working?

There are a number of reasons why Instagram might not be working for you. Some of the most common reasons include:

  • The Instagram servers are down: This is usually the case when a lot of people are trying to use Instagram at the same time, such as during a major event
  • Your internet connection is slow or unstable: If you're having trouble loading images or videos on Instagram, it's likely that your internet connection is to blame
  • There's a problem with your device: If Instagram is not working on your phone or tablet, it's possible that there's a problem with your device's software or hardware

You're using an outdated version of the Instagram app: Make sure you have the latest version of the app installed.

When Instagram encounters issues, users may encounter different error messages, such as "Couldn't Refresh Feed", "Error Loading Posts" or "Sorry, Something Went Wrong".

How to fix Instagram not working issues

By following these simple steps, you can troubleshoot various Instagram-related problems and enjoy a smooth experience on the platform:

  • Check the Instagram server status
  • Log out and log back in
  • Keep Instagram updated
  • Restart your device
  • Clear app cache
  • Reinstall the app
  • Verify your internet connection
  • Use a different Wi-Fi network
  • Try another device
  • Seek Instagram support

Check the Instagram server status

To determine if Instagram is down, you can visit the Instagram status page by Down Detector or search for "is Instagram down" on Twitter.

Log out and log back in

Sometimes, login or account setting issues can be resolved by simply logging out of your Instagram account and then logging back in.

Keep Instagram updated

Make sure you have the most recent version of the Instagram app installed on your device. Updating the app can often resolve bugs and glitches.

You may check for Instagram's updates using the link below on your smartphone.

Restart your device

If the Instagram app is not functioning properly, try restarting your phone or tablet. This action can refresh the device and fix app-related problems.

Failure to update the Instagram app to the latest version can result in compatibility issues and functional glitches

Clear app cache

Deleting the app's temporary files, known as clearing the cache, may help address issues arising from corrupted or conflicting data.

On Android:

  1. Go to Settings
  2. Tap on Apps or Apps & notifications
  3. Scroll down and find Instagram
  4. Tap on Storage
  5. Tap on Clear cache

On iPhone:

  1. Go to Settings
  2. Tap on General
  3. Tap on iPhone Storage
  4. Scroll down and find Instagram
  5. Tap on Instagram and then tap on Delete App
  6. Tap on Delete again to confirm
  7. Reinstall Instagram from the App Store

Note: Clearing the cache will not delete any of your photos, videos, or other data from Instagram. It will only delete temporary files that may be causing problems with the app.

Reinstall the app

When other troubleshooting methods fail, reinstalling the Instagram app can be a more drastic but potentially effective step to resolve persistent issues.

Verify your internet connection

Ensure you have a stable and strong internet connection as Instagram's features heavily depend on an active internet connection.

Uhh, this has already been possible – I am not sure how but remember my brother telling me about it. I’m not a whatsapp user so not sure of the specifics, but something about sending the image as a file and somehow bypassing the default compression settings that are applied to inbound photos.

He has also used this to share movies to whatsapp groups, and files 1Gb+.

Like I said, I never used whatsapp, but I know 100% this isn’t a “brand new feature”, my brother literally showed me him doing it, like… 5 months ago?

Martin, what happened to those: 12 Comments (https://www.ghacks.net/chatgpt-gets-schooled-by-princeton-university/#comments). Is there a specific justifiable reason why they were deleted?

Hmm, it looks like the gHacks website database is faulty, and not populating threads with their relevant cosponsoring posts.

The page on ghacks this is on represents the best of why it has become so worthless, fill of click-bait junk that it’s about to be deleted from my ‘daily reads’.

It’s really like “Press Release as re-written by some d*ck for clicks…poorly.” And the subjects are laughable. Can’t wait for “How to search for files on Windows”.

      Sadly, I have to agree.

Only Martin and Ashwin are worth subscribing to.
Especially Emre Çitak and Shaun are the worst ones.

If ghacks.net intended “Clickbait”, it would mark the end of Ghacks Technology News.
Ghacks doesn’t need crappy clickbaits. Clearly separate articles from newer authors (perhaps AIs and external sales person or external advertising man) as just “Advertisements”!

We, the subscribers of Ghacks, urge Martin to make a decision.

Yes, why not mention how large the HD files can be?
Why, not mention what version of WhatsApp is needed?
These omissions make the article feel so bare. If not complete.

    Quoting the article,
“As users gain popularity, the value of their tokens may increase, allowing investors to reap rewards.”

Besides, beyond the thrill and privacy risks or not, the point is to know how you gain popularity, be it on social sites as everywhere in life. Is it by being authentic, by remaining faithful to ourselves or is it to have this particular skill which is to understand what a majority likes, just like politicians, those who’d deny to the maximum extent compatible with their ideological partnership, in order to grab as many of the voters they can?

I see the very concept of this Friend.tech as unhealthy, propagating what is already an increasing flaw : the quest for fame. I won’t be the only one to count himself out, definitely.

This has been lasting for several days. Fix it or at least provide some explanations if you don’t mind.
