Download Movie Trailers With HD Trailers Downloader

Movie Trailers are useful for consumers to decide if a movie seems good enough to watch in a cinema or to be purchased. Several Internet resources are available where movie buffs can view the latest movie trailers, such as Youtube and Apple’s Trailer website. Ghacks has published guides for users who want to download movie trailers from Youtube or Apple Trailers to their home computers. An alternative is the HD Trailers Downloader which is an automated program to download the latest HD movie trailers to the computer.

HD Trailers Downloader crawls the popular hd-trailers.net blog for the latest movie trailer releases and downloads them automatically. A configuration file can be used to define the quality preference (1080p, 720p or 480p), download location or automatic deletion of trailers. The downloader will by default download movie trailers in 720p if available, or in 480p if not. Movie buffs with fast internet connections might want to edit the configuration to add 1080p for the best quality possible.

A double-click on the executable will open a command line window that details the progress of the downloads. It will display the current movie trailer being downloaded and status messages to inform the user if trailers or other videos have been skipped or successfully downloaded.

The program recognizes already existing trailers, which are skipped automatically. It can also resume previous sessions to download trailers which have not been downloaded completely the last time the program was run.

HD Trailers Downloader is compatible with 32-bit and 64-bit editions of the Windows operating system. The program seems to require the Microsoft .net Framework but there is no information on the homepage regarding this requirement. It can be downloaded from Codeplex.
