Did anyone really think that this would not happen eventually? That was my first though when I read the news that a Windows 7 OEM activation crack – or patch, does not really matter how you call it – was already available in various P2P networks and other sources.
The crack turns the Windows 7 RTM into a fully activated Windows 7 operating system that is passing all Microsoft genuine advantage checks with flying colors. Softpedia reports that the leaked Windows 7 key came from OEM manufacturers Lenovo and was first spread on a Chinese forum. The OEM activation crack makes it possible to turn both Windows 7 Ultimate versions, that is 32-bit and 64-bit, into a fully activated Windows 7 operating system.
The bypass designed for Windows 7 RTM involves abusing OEM activation 2.1, and in this regard the circumventing process is nothing more than an OEM hack. Via OEM activation 2.1, namely SLP 2.1, Microsoft allows OEMs to pre-activate Windows 7 for distribution preinstalled on new computers. In this context, the activation bypass process leading to the hacked Windows 7 RTM needs to be based on a BIOS (SLIC) hack first of all.
It seems therefor that Windows 7 is simply following in the footsteps of previously released and cracked Microsoft operating systems like Windows XP or Windows Vista.

It would be even better if you can explain where to find and how to use this crack. Because I heard that the motherboard bios needs patching in order to work, and I’m not really comfortable in doing that…
Anyway, the 7600 build is waiting here to be installed :p
Google mydigital life windows 7 forum(Hazar is the key name).It’s method it’s described there,it doesn’t require patching the bios.
There are several other’s this one is reported as working by most
Its only the boot bios whos getting patched.
Not the motherboard bios ;)

You are not comfortable messing around in the BIOS, but you seem to be totally comfortable not paying Microsoft for their wonderful Windows 7.
Windows 7 is out on 22th of October, so it’s not even theoretically possible to purchase it at the moment…
@Emil: Why do you need to know where this crack can be located? You can use Windows 7 for free now, and in late October you will be able to purchase a full copy. Use the RTM until the release date.
man you guys have some weird terminology, wtf is a boot bios, there is a MOBO bios and then some boot loaders and MBR etc that go on the HD, is that what your talking about?

I pirated my Ubuntu install! My buddy wouldn’t loan it to me, so I stole it from his desk drawer when he wasn’t looking. I could have downloaded it myself, but why, when this way is easier and faster?

it is not possible to pirate ubuntu, it is FREE. SO HOWEVER YOU INSTALLED IT, IT IS PERFECTLY LEGAL THEREFORE NOT PIRATED!
