MySpace Music Download Software

Here is a quick lightweight software program for downloading music from MySpace. The software MySpace Grab makes it easy to listen to and download any song that is listed on MySpace. To do so only the url of the band page or page on MySpace is needed. The software program scans the url by opening a connection to MySpace and displays the songs that are listed on that page after the analysis of the contents.

The user of MySpace Grab can then double-click on any listed song to listen to it. The small window that opens contains a small embedded music player that is similar to those found on many websites and a big download button. Pressing the download button will immediately open a save file dialog window which can be used to save the selected song on the local computer.

The process is pretty straightforward and great for saving the occasional song from MySpace. It becomes long-winded if the user wants to download several songs from MySpace as it would mean to repeat the double-click song, click download button in new window process over and over again.

Selected urls can be added to favorites in the software program to access them faster and easier the next time the program is started. MySpace Grab is a free 400 Kilobyte download that is compatible with all Microsoft Windows operating systems from Windows 95 to Windows Vista.

    Great,more illegal download tools.

I guess copyright law doesn’t apply to Ghacks. Maybe we should all republish your articles on our own blogs.

And this is exactly why the record industry thinks everyone is a thief.

  2. BJ says:

    Hello Scott,
as a matter of fact, copy right law doesn’t apply to this downloading tool.

It is just as legal as using a dictating machine to record background music in a super-market, fixing tape copies off of the radio or putting your favorite TV Show on a VHS.

  3. Paul(us). says:

Great (littel) program. For this work i also like the File2HD.com website.

  4. roger says:

    doesn’t work. :(

  5. Pat says:

It didn’t work for me either.

  6. b says:

HEY SCOTT? go move to London, and join all the other control nuts.
1st of all, all mp3′s on myspace are <320k so they are not punishable by law for downloading or posessing.
anything under 320k wont hold up :)
    cheers
go fond something/someone else to poilce
    =p

  7. Rubens says:

when I click “Download” it says “Your current security settings do not allow this file to be downloaded.” So…. how am I supposed to get the songs?

  8. jeff says:

scott’s an idiot, tell it to his face.

  9. Ethan says:

I get the security settings message aswell. Any clue how to get past this?

  10. Joolz says:

I also keep getting the ‘security settings do not allow….’ message, and it’s driving me mad!
Surely someone knows a simple solution to this? I’m using vista home premium BTW.

  11. emily says:

the same security message with me.

can someone PLEASE tell me what to do?

  12. Samuel says:

Same security message here, using windows xp sp 3

  13. joolz says:

I’ve just found a great program instead of ‘grab’ which actually works!
‘Wondershare Streaming Audio Recorder’ is a great little program which you can trial for 7 days for free.I’ve used it on Vista and it’s done the job nicely!

  14. Murke says:

Just another fucking download tool used to steal music from honest musicians trying to make a living.
How about I come over to your house and steal your tv set or car? Would you like that you fucking thieves?????!!!!!!!!

    • Martin says:

The analogy would be more like coming over to a house to copy music or videos. But even that is not completely correct.

    • Jeff says:

It’s not thievery it’s piracy. Stealing my tv removes my tv and I no longer have it. Downloading a song does not take it from anyone else. It just makes a copy. Do us all a favor and get off of your high horse.

    • davidson says:

Way to channel your inner Lars Ulrich.

  15. Federico Klaws says:

shit doesn’t work, it prompts a security kind of message, the software is prob a spyware or something like that

  16. The Drifter says:

The only thing that works for downloading music from MySpace is File2HD.com, but you need to be a premium user. The other way, if you want to keep the audio file, then just learn and try to record it.

  17. DubChip says:

out on i tunes i need to download two of my tracks on my myspace so i can add them not funny!. Is it soo fucking hard to get a program which states what it says and is true. H2D doesn’t wrk for me and music grab you tube etc doesnt wrk either. What pisses me off is that people make programs investing time and money into stuff which is useless. myspacemusicgrab can be achieved by listing to the songs on the website?!? Fucking security. I HOPE that wondershare works or myspace is music download is gunna piss me right off. Right fuckin predicament. And Scott m8 ur wrong! Murke if you get money which i’m trying too, i dnt mind people rippin it if they like. Aint a fukin penny pincher man. If they like it Coooolio. Chrs all
