Here is a very ingenious method of download music from Myspace. It is actually one of the easiest methods to download the music. All that is needed is a web browser which makes the method universal independently from the operating system.
Start by visiting the Myspace website and locate a page with a music player. Those are usually band profile pages at Myspace. The music download can then be initiated by copying and pasting the url of that Myspace profile page into the web form at File2HD.
Check the “I have read and agree to the terms of service” box and click the Get Files button. The web service will analyze the Myspace page and display all links and files that are contained on it including the music files of the music player.
The list that is compiled will be huge. Look for the entries Featured Playlist (Standard Quality) and Original Version (High Quality). Those will usually contain the direct links to the mp3 files on the Myspace page. To download any of them simply right-click a song and select Save As or Save from the menu.
A normal file download will be initiated that will download the selected song to the local computer. Got any other methods of downloading music from Myspace? Let us hear them in the comments.

All this is doing is allowing people to listen to it for free when not connected to myspace. Unlike before, where they were listening to it for free when connected to myspace.
There are several ways to download songs from MySpace, whereas I use File2HD most. If you use any other way to get the download links, they might be standard quality. Just replace the “std_” prefix with “full_” and enjoy full quality.

You can’t dowload the HQ version of a song if your IP address is in the US. Use a non-US proxy and you’ll be able to get what you want. Google can find loads of proxies for you to try.

It only gives me like, a minute of each song when they’re much longer than that. They just cut off…any way to fix that issue?
Double click the batch dump in order to download the flv content. After that, if you notice, the flvs are time completed. Just convert them to Mp3´s using another flv to mp3 compatible converter. I used Xilisoft´s 3gp Video Converter and it worked great. Batch converter seems to be only converting 30% of the files indeed.
But there are always other ways around a problem like this.We just have to think it out :)

It sounds like you’re trying to download multiple songs simultaneously. Download one at a time (refresh the file2hd.com page between) and they should come in complete.

since myspace switch to rtmp protcocol to stream their mp3s file2hd.com stop working, there is already a way around to this using rtmpdump to download the mp3 as raw flv’s and ffmpeg to convert it back to mp3

I haven´t tried it yet, but for what I see I believe it works by recording the audio which is passing on the computer sound hardware. If that is the case, I just have audacity who does the same. But in Audacitie´s case the quality is never as good as the original files on the servers. But as I said, I´ll have to try this one out.. If it is similar to Audacity I believe RTMP dumper along with FFmpeg is the best way to go though:). It downloads the file to the HDD, which is diferent from recording the streaming audio from the website, which may be compromised much easily with bandwith problems, which may corrupt the sound. Anyway, thanks for the info. It is all good:)
rtmpdump isnt a recorder , instead it work by saving the data streamed via the rtmp protocol into a raw flv.
Yhea. I know that, and it works, I´ve tried it already:). I was just comentating with a person above who sugested freecorder, and that one I believe is a streaming audio recorder, similar to what Audacity and others do. I was just comentating that above:). But still have to make shure freecorder is what I believe it is though:)
the batch file seems to download the std quality 96kbps which aint that great, anyone know how to make it download the full quality? simply changing the prefix doesnt seem to do the trick.

The files from myspace are protected by adobe and they cannot be downloaded with usual ways, you should get a sound card recorder and it’ll record all of myspace music. I use such a soft, Tunebite, it records myspace music and videos and also it converts audio and video files to the formats I want, mp3s, avi even 3gp.
