How To Download And Save Youtube Videos

Take a look at the best of youtube blog if you are looking for a way to save youtube video files. The procedure is really simple but works only in firefox. If you are not already using it make sure you grab a copy and install this wonderful browser. After that install the greasemonkey script and after that right click this .js file and chose Install User Script.

Every youtube video page should show a red bar that says “Save As” to save the video file. Click in the red bar, select Save Link as and rename the file to choseaname.flv. Last but not least you need a player to play flv files, best of youtube mentions some as well as some converters. Make sure you check them out.

update:

There is even an easier way, all you need is to copy the url and add it to this online script

    Heres what I found: http://zfreez.com/web/Ut.htm
You can download YouTube video from that site.
Unlike all other download service out there, the downloaded files from this site are in .flv format BY DEFAULT so you don’t have to rename or change extension or anything. It also named your file according to the clip name at YouTube :)
    Give it a shot.
