Take a look at the best of youtube blog if you are looking for a way to save youtube video files. The procedure is really simple but works only in firefox. If you are not already using it make sure you grab a copy and install this wonderful browser. After that install the greasemonkey script and after that right click this .js file and chose Install User Script.
Every youtube video page should show a red bar that says “Save As” to save the video file. Click in the red bar, select Save Link as and rename the file to choseaname.flv.
