Wallpaper Studio 10 is a wallpaper app for Android, Windows 10 and Xbox One that syncs wallpapers between devices, and more.

While I hear some of you sigh already because of "yet another wallpaper software" getting a review here on Ghacks, others may not be that quick to dismiss the application.

Computer users have several options when it comes to getting new wallpapers for their devices. They may download them from the manufacturer if provided, use wallpaper sites to download them directly, use social sites to do pretty much the same, or use software or apps instead.

Google Wallpapers for Android, Wallpapers Bot, Bing homepage wallpapers, Wallpaper Engine or Reddit Waller are all examples of services, apps or programs that you may use for the purpose.

Wallpaper 10

Wallpaper Studio 10 is a free application for Windows 10 and Xbox One, and Android. It is an UWP application on the Windows side of things, which means that it is restricted to systems that run Windows 10.

You can run the application on any one device, but if you want sync functionality, need to sign up for a free account for that. The app works similarly on Android and Windows 10.

Note: Wallpaper Studio 10 is offered as a free, ads-displaying application. You can buy an advertisement-free license for a reasonable price ($1.49).

The application lists the latest wallpapers, and popular wallpapers on the home page when you start the application. Each wallpaper is highlighted with a thumbnail, and information on votes and downloads.

A tap opens the wallpaper on its own page. There you may set it as the wallpaper right away, save it to the device instead, or use features such as sharing, adding to the favorites, or adding to folders that the application offers on the page. The folders option allows you to create your own slideshow sets, and to activate these sets on one or all of your devices with a click.

If you scroll down on the page, you get wallpaper suggestions based on the one that is displayed on the page, information about the author, colors that dominate it, and tags.

You can browse wallpaper categories, top publishers, or use the built-in search as well to find wallpapers of interest.

Wallpapers are sorted in categories such as fantasy, military, nature, or music, and you may use the category browser to browse only wallpapers filed into the selected categories.

Top publishers on the other hand lists the most popular publishers who have uploaded wallpapers to Wallpaper 10. You may browse all of a publishers uploads using that option.

One interesting feature of Wallpaper Studio 10 is the ability to set a wallpaper on all devices that you have installed the software on (provided that you sign in to the same account on these devices).

Wallpaper 10 keeps track of background images that you have set as the wallpaper previously using the application. This makes it easy to reset a previous wallpaper on the device or all of them with just a couple of clicks.

Verdict

Wallpaper Studio 10 offers a good selection of high quality wallpaper images. The app is easy to use, both on Android and Windows 10, and supports quite a few nice to have features such as the creation of slideshow sets, or setting a wallpaper on all connected devices using any version of the application.

The app displays ads in the interface while you browse, and a full screen ad on Android after you set a wallpaper.

Now You: do you prefer to download and set wallpapers manually, or do you use a program for that?

It’s kind of a successor to wallbase. There was a better one, picsfab.com, but it’s currently down, the owner annouced he could not afford the costs anymore. They’re mainly desktop wallpapers (in landcape orientation) but they look fine on Android as well, as they scroll when you swipe through homescreens.
