FLV Joiner is a lightweight portable program for Windows to merge multiple video files with the flv extension.

Many video hosting websites like YouTube have limitations when it comes to the size or playtime of a video that can be hosted on those websites.

That's why a lot of video uploaders split larger videos into multiple parts that have to be viewed after each other.

One niche where you will notice this a lot is that of video game "let's play" series which usually have a very long playtime as they span many hours usually.

But joining videos can also be interesting even if the videos are not directly related.

Joining videos can be useful in many different situations: to access a video series by loading a single video file, to merge related videos into a single video file, or even collections (funny cats) into one.

Videos that are downloaded from video hosting sites often use the flv file extension. One of the easiest ways to join flv videos is with the help of the software program FLV Joiner.

Join Flash video files

You may load multiple flv files into the portable program with a click on the add button. The program sorts the video automatically by the time they have been added to the application, but provides options to manually sort them as well. The latter is useful if the automatic sorting got the order wrong, or if you want the videos to be available in a different sequence.

FLV Joiner displays information about each individual video, including its path and name, video and audio codec, and video resolution. Additionally, it lists the total playtime and file size of all videos as well in its interface.

A click on the join button starts the join process. FLV Joiner merges all videos into a single video file that it places in the output directory listed by the program. It is naturally possible to change the output directory prior to starting the join process.

The main advantage of this program over other software solutions is its simplicity as it is dead easy to add and join flv files using it.

The developer should however consider adding the mp4 format in the near future to the program to provide the same video joining functionality for HD videos as well, as many video sites have started to use the format as well or even exclusively.

FLV Joiner is a free software for the Windows operating system that is available for download at the developer's website.

Update: The program is no longer available on the project website. We have uploaded the latest working version of the program to our own server. Please note that we don't support the program in any way. You can download it with a click on the following link: (Download Removed)
