I'm really happy that I decided to buy a Nintendo Wii. It is the ideal system if you like to play games with 1-3 friends instead of playing them alone. I was very interested in the E3 2007 announcements for the Nintendo Wii and decided to write about my top picks for the Nintendo Wii that come out this year.

I'm probably missing some games that were not presented at this year's E3, feel free to add any game in the comments that I might have missed. I would furthermore like to point out that those games could be great and most probably will be but I can't tell for sure because I obviously did not play them yet.

Last but not least I would like to mention that I did not include Mario Galaxy nor Metroid Prime in the list because I do not like 3D Mario games at all and do play shooters exclusively on PC. What the Wii is currently really lacking are roleplaying games and tactical games. I love those games and would even welcome action rpgs such as Baldurs Gate Dark Alliance if no real rpg is on the way.

I would love to see games like Final Fantasy Tactics, Shining Force and Heroes of Might and Magic on the Wii. Do you know of any RPG that is currently in development ?

1. Boogie
I feel a little bit strange by mentioning a game from EA in my list. I don't like EA. I think they are to keen on making money and forget about the fun part of gaming. Their games are never bad but they lack innovation and motivation. Boogie is different and I was really surprised that EA is producing such a game.

It is basically a dancing game which seems to make lots of fun. It remains to be seen if the game is motivating enough to play it for more than a few hours.

2. Conan the Barbarian

The Wii does not have a large number of games that are considered mature, or for adults only. Conan the Barbarian is one of those games that plays and feels like God of War. It is bloody, brutal and looks like a fun game to play.

3. Dragon Blade: Wrath of Fire

Another God of War type of game that could be extremely nice on the Wii. Graphics are not that nice but the idea to have different dragon attacks make up for it. Could be a great game.

4. Nights

Nights was a great game on the Sega Saturn and I really really hope that Sega is trying their best to create a great sequel. I'm not that fond of Sega games anymore because I really think that the quality of their games dropped tremendously since they stopped selling gaming systems.

5. Guitar Hero III

This one will be a great game. It is unfortunately a multi-plattform title but will hopefully see great sales on the Wii.

Update: We had to remove the videos from the article as they were not available anymore.

Yowza! How’d I miss these gems!? And btw, I wish Nights had that music from the Saturn version in the trailer.
