The countdown for iPad Mini 7 has begun

It's been a while since Apple graced us with new iPad releases, but the wait is finally drawing to a close. According to sources,  Apple is gearing up to introduce a host of fresh iPad models in the coming months, including the much-anticipated iPad Mini 7 and two brand-new iPad Air models.

Despite rumors of another event for new Macs and iPad models after the iPhone 15 announcement, Apple chose to delay the M3 chip until early next year, signaling that new iPad models will be delayed along with upgraded Macs. Currently, Apple is reportedly working on two iPad Air models and an updated iPad Mini 7.

The long-awaited iPad Mini 7

There are different rumors about the release of new iPad models. In particular, the company is expected to launch OLED iPad Pro models with M3 chips next year. However, iPad Mini 7 and iPad Air 6 are rumored to be released later this year. Sources close to 9to5mac say that the new iPad Mini 7 could be released in the coming months, and new iPad Air models could also be announced.

Last year, an industry analyst stated that Apple was working to launch the iPad Mini 7 later this year. There is also the possibility that iPad Mini 7 could be announced early next year. It is thought that the new iPad mini model may have the current design but may be equipped with a faster chip. We predict that they will probably use Apple's latest A17 Pro chip to compete with M-series chips for the new iPad Air series.

So when is the iPad Mini 7 release date? Only time will tell.

Two new iPad Air models

Apple is working on two iPad Air models and iPad Mini 7 to be released later this year. It is rumored that Apple wants to expand the iPad Air series and therefore may introduce a new model. It is estimated that this new model may have a larger screen size.

New iPad Air models are expected to be powered by Apple's M2 chip, similar to iPad Pro models. The redesigned iPad Pro models will include the new M3 chip based on TSMC's 3nm process.

The M3 iPad Pro

Not to be overlooked, a new generation of the iPad Pro is on the horizon, equipped with the M3 chip. This new iteration, identified as J717 and J718 for the 11-inch models and J720 and J721 for the larger-sized models, promises improved performance and capabilities.

It is rumored that Apple probably plans to announce iPad Air and iPad Pro models together to maintain the performance difference between the two models. However, there is no official information about the exact positioning of the new models yet.
