Spotify Blend lets friends gauge their musical compatibility

The new Spotify Blend feature was announced in June, alongside the ‘Only You’ feature to give a personalized listening experience. Spotify has just announced that Blend has exited beta testing and is rolling out to all users worldwide.
Blend is a feature that allows friends to combine their musical tastes into a single playlist. Initially, only two friends could blend their playlists, but with the official release, a few extra features are being added. One such feature is the ability to compare your listening preferences with your friend’s. This comparison will give you a ‘taste match score’, which will show how compatible your music preferences are with those of your friends.
This app is handy when you have a get-together and want to listen to music that you both will enjoy. By creating your blend and getting your taste match score, the Spotify app can create a personalized playlist that includes music that both of you will love.
The feature is also straightforward to start using. All you need to do is tap on the ‘Create Blend’ option in the ‘For You’ hub on your Android device. Then you just select the friend that you would like to invite to your blend. Once they accept your request, the Spotify app will take care of everything else. This includes creating a unique cover art so that you can distinguish between your different blends.
The feature will also include a service to share data stories unique to you two, which can be shared across other social media channels. This is quite similar to the Wrapped feature already included in the app.
Blend will also be updated daily to include all the latest releases and songs that will match your combined musical preferences. This feature is now live and available to free and premium users.
Closing words
Spotify’s new Blend feature makes it much easier to personalize your music playlist and create a unique shared playlist between you and a friend. Besides, who doesn’t enjoy more personalization capabilities in their apps? I look forward to testing the Blend feature out with a friend and seeing how it works.

If Nothing OS is nothing more that an overlay with Google still in the midst….then I ain’t interested.
Another unrelated comment older than the article. Pathetic.
it is becoming mindbogglingly annoying indeed…
Under: https://www.ghacks.net/2023/09/12/iphone-15-with-usb-c-port/
Apple was forced to add USB-C to a phone and the maccultists start talking about “revolution” and “paradigm shift” (as if USB phones had never come out before). It’s so ridiculous it’s reminiscent of comedians doing the “stepped on a water hose” stunt – that was at least somehow funny a hundred years ago.
Reading this on a site that used to be a technical resource is especially ridiculous.
How pathetic
“An iPhone 15 with a USB-C port will mean more than you think”
That Apple can finally stop hindering progress if spanked hard enough ?
