If you have the intention to get a Flickr Pro account you might find the following deal interesting that gives you three extra months for no additional charge. A one year Flickr pro account costs $24.95 and gives you unlimited storage, uploads, bandwidth, sets, ad free browsing and permanent archiving of high quality images.

Flickr is currently running a promotion that ends January 31th that gives everyone who is buying a Flickr Gift account, which is essentially a pro account, three extra months. While Flickr certainly had two different users in mind, one for the 12 month pro account and the other for the three month pro account, it is possible to use both for one user.

All you need to do is get a Flickr Gift account and redeem the gift. The extra 3 months will be added to your account after the purchase has been made.

Note that the promotion has ended. While you can still get a Flickr Pro account gift, it is now only available for the full price and without the 3 months of pro upgrade for the user who bought the gift.

Note that you can get a 2 year pro account gift instead which costs $44.95 which effectively saves you about two months of pro payment. While not as good as the three free months you have received during the promotion, it may be worth a shot if you are certain that you will use Flickr for the new two years.

Thanks for the tip! Works like a charm. I was going to wait until a while after Christmas to order Flickr Pro so that I didn’t have to renew every year right after emptying my wallet. Now I don’t have to renew until April and I still get the benefit of Pro right now.
