How old is the oldest emoji?
The world's oldest known emoji dates back approximately 3,700 years. This ancient emoji was discovered on a piece of pottery in Turkey and is believed to be the earliest example of this form of communication.
While the modern concept of emojis, as we know them today, has only been around for a few decades, this ancient symbol on the pottery provides a fascinating insight into the long history of visual communication.
It demonstrates that humans have been using symbols and pictures to convey emotions and messages for millennia.
