Well I am subscribed to both and use both. I have experience of using both the VPNs. Nord is the superior of the two VPN. The most important thing is indepence on internet and a VPN should unblock, and not itself get blocked. Nord VPN does not gives me problem of ip getting blacklisted and rarely I find it problematic to use Google Search (reCAPTCHAS) and Startpage when connected to Nord VPN and other websites. Surfshark has improved in recent months and previously this problem was more pronounced on Surfshark VPN. Still I find that Nord despite being slightly more expensive than Surfshark VPN is proportionately better quality than latter. I also feel if one uses Windows PC then Nord VPN application on windows is superior to Surfshark and overall gives better usage experience. Surfshark is still better than most other VPNs many of which are low quality and that is why I am still subscribed to Surfshark as it gives more flexibility to use multiple VPNs and Surfshark Nexus which is in development seems promising. That said, if I have to choose between the two I will choose Nord VPN. I am also subscribed to Atlas VPN (please forego the fact that these are from the same parent company, that is not the reason), I think it is a great and simple budget VPN and gets the basics right, recommend.

I wouldn’t choose any of these, Proton VPN is the best choice.

I don’t recommend Surfshark VPN because it’s IPs gets blacklisted by websites. This is the result of it offering unlimited simultaneous connections which gets exploited. I recommend Nord VPN for best experience, or Mullvad for privacy only, Express VPN is also good. A VPN is needed these days.

Actually even NordVPN IPs are access restricted, at least in Australia, for some sites, like unable to search or show products.
For shopping from trusted sites, it’s better to connect directly.
Lately Google search forcing me re CAPTCHA far too many times, this is the main reason I changed my VPN to NordVPN from ExpressVPN.

Nord VPN and Surfshark VPN are now under 1 company… What is your source that Surfshark is blocked by several websites?

Oh that’s bad. Thank you for letting us know. My Nord VPN ended today. Thought maybe this article was meant for me. Better stick with Nord VPN. Thank you.
