Update: Even though MyP2P is not online anymore, a new site featuring a similar design and functionality, and old members of MyP2P, is. You can point your browser to http://www.wiziwig.tv/ to access it.
Update 2: WiziWiG has shut down. Read on for a list of alternatives.
If you are looking for alternatives, check out the listing at the end of this article.
Myp2p.eu went offline less than a month after I reviewed their service here on Ghacks. The site was basically a live sports aggregator. It collected live links from a variety of sources, bundled them neatly as game and match listings to make it as easy as possible for its users to find live streams of matches they want to watch.
For the past five days or so, myp2p has been offline. Both the forum and main website are not accessible anymore. I have been asked by several users who read my article if there was an alternative available, with football season starting in Europe and all.
The official news is this: myp2p.eu is offline and may not come back. The developers and maintainers of the service have moved to a new domain called wiziwig.eu which is currently experiencing heavy traffic and as such denies connections. The forum, hosted on the http://forum.wiziwig.eu/ subdomain works fine though, and users can read up and discuss what is happening right there.
A forum announcement reads:
Site update: At the moment our main website is offline. The forum as you can see will keep running and you can here provide eachother with links and info. We hope to be able to have the site back running tomorrow morning European time. Thanks for your understanding!
Update 11am CET: still working on it, we try the best we can!
List of alternatives for the service
Forum members find several live stream links in the forum, for instance in the Weekdays, Saturdays and Sundays forums. Here are several myp2p.eu alternatives that are currently up and running:
Note: Several MyP2P clones have been created that look like the original site but are not related in any way to it. Many of these rip-offs display lots of advertisement and some may even be malicious. We have made the decision not to add those because of that.
We do recommend that you have proper antivirus software and maybe a popup blocker installed before you visit any of those sites. Many of them display massive amounts of ads and popups to you. Note that requests to install a plugin are ads and not something that you need to do to watch the streams.
Alternatives that are not working anymore
Have another website that you are currently using as a Myp2p alternative? Let me know in the comments.Advertisement
