Apple Slashes Its iPhone Trade-in Prices - Here Are the Best Alternatives
Apple has always been known to provide good trade-in rates for old iPhones. The norm would be to trade in your old iPhone and get an excellent deal on a new one. It was as simple as that. However, Apple has recently downgraded its trade-in values, and currently, its trade-in services are among the worst.
It was recently spotted that some of the old iPhone models are worth a lot less through trade-ins. For example, the iPhone 13 Pro saw its trade-in rate drop by almost $80 in the United States. It is almost the same in the UK as well. The iPhone 13 also saw its trade-in value drop by almost $50.
While the rates of iPhones have not been cut by Apple, it is considering the costs of re-homing your old iPhones. Apple does not necessarily recycle old phones. If the phone is in excellent shape, Apple will sell it to a new owner. However, the cost of doing so is factored in when valuing old iPhones for trade-ins.

No matter what you decide, you should know that if your iPhone is in good working condition, you deserve a good price for it. Lastly, you can also sell your phone privately if you’re looking for a good deal.

Better yet – don’t join the cult of Apple and use Android – at least there you don’t get wild promises of greatness, you get what you pay for.
I paid ~$180 for a brand new Xiaomi Redmi 10C in August 2022, it was released on March 2022. I don’t take pictures or videos although it has a 50 megapixel camera and funnily enough if you sideload Gcam (Google’s camera app), it takes better pictures than the default Xiaomi camera app.
What I care that the phone has is a Snapdragon 680 chipset and 128GB of space, whereas my previous phone Nokia 3.1 Plus had only 32GB of space and a shitty Mediatek chipset.
I know there are much better phones than mine, but I know what I’m getting for $180 from Xiaomi and I’m happy even with its drawbacks. If I had more money to spare, I’d get a Sony, but even if I was filthy rich, I would never stoop down to buying an iPhone or any other of the overrated and overpiced Apple products and join their cult of idiocy.
With old Android phones, you just put them in the closet in their box and use them as spares or sell them at some auction house or something where people sell old things, also some questionable people in debt sell their tech to return their debts.
Receive less for less. I would never support Apple products.
