When I tried to see if the site was working, I realized that I had fallen victim to this type of breach twice when I queried my own e-mail address. In digital security, it's hard to know who you can trust. Therefore, if you want to use the site, I recommend that you test with an e-mail address that you no longer use.

    Back in the day, ‘Mr. Martin’s – ghacks’ led a concerted effort, through his many professional associates to teach folks how to secure ones system.

    I don’t quite understand. Either you trust ‘Have I been pwned?’ either you don’t, “testing” will provide no information in terms of trust, maybe will it in terms of reliability if the analysis turns out to be positive, but not otherwise. The statement seems to me as conducted by upside-down logic.
