AdGuard is a popular and effective content blocking solution. AsGuard's solution is not limited to specific browsers, it works system-wide and takes care of banners, pop-ups or video ads among other things.

AdGuard has more to offer: it protects against online tracking, malicious sites and phishing attempts, and has parental controls built-in to protect minors online.

You can get a lifetime AdGuard subscription or a lifetime AdGuard Family subscription on Ghacks Deals currently (new users only). The main difference between both plans is the increase from 3 to 9 devices AdGuard can be used when you subscribe to the Family account.

    I dont’t undestand : is it a paying program ?
Is it better than Ublock origin (for instance) ?

Yes, it’s a paid program. It blocks ads system-wide, which uBlock Origin can’t do. I find it very useful on my PC because I regularly use multiple web browsers. I also use it on my phone where it blocks many in-app ads e.g. I play a couple of free games that are ad-supported and I never see the ads.

I think AdGuard also maintain the biggest filter lists. Take a look in uBO’s settings and you can see the biggest lists uBO uses are AdGuard lists.

I use uBO at work, and AdGuard at home. I think it’s well-worth paying for the extra coverage that AdGuard provides over uBO. I’m even thinking of signing up for their VPN, though not until my current VPN plan expires.

The Windows version of Adguard is bad… it slows down everything… I am actually a big fan of Adguard products but the windows version is just awful…

It must be conflicting with something else on your computer. I’ve been running AdGuard on my Windows PC for a couple of years and it’s never slowed down my computer.

Not sure what your settings are, or your PC specs, but I’ve been running AdGuard for Windows for well over a year, and I’ve not had any slowdown, or any issues with it, at all. It simply runs in the background, and protects my three PCs.

Oh, really? What other OS’ have you used it on? I have been wanting to jump on this after using their browser extensions and also their Mac app.

Does the personal plan allow to use a mobile?
(android is not listed in supported os, in contrast to family plan)
