Ghacks Deals: Degoo Premium: Lifetime Backup Plan (Price Drop)

If you are still looking for a backup solution or want a second backup provider just for backup² purposes, you may be interested in Degoo Premium.

Available as 1, 2, 3, and 10 TB lifetime plans, Degoo offers mobile apps and desktop programs, and encrypts all data using 256-bit AES encryption. The company highlights the security features more than anything else; these include a top secret feature that protects data with another password and using storage replication to spread chunks of data across multiple data centers. The service states that "no single data center has enough data to access the entire file".

The 1TB lifetime account is available for just $49.99 right now, the 10TB account for $99.99.

  • Send files easily to friends via email or link
  • Backup up to 10TB of data under ultra-secure 256-bit AES encryption
  • Replicate your backup as you perform it, giving you extra peace of mind
  • Perform backups to all of your devices

Please be wary of these “lifetime” plans. They mean the “lifetime” of the COMPANY not your lifetime. Several examples are the sale and closure of Symform and change in Crashplans products. So it’s a great way for a new “company” to make some quick revenue then disappear.

My advice, skip backups yourself and rotated Hard drives between your home, work, family members, etc.

I get your point, but if the price is low, it’s worth a shot. I bought a lifetime plan for Keepsolid VPN Unlimited for $29 (normally costs a few hundreds) in 2015 and 4 years later it’s still working perfectly fine and without any restrictions.
