Email Backup Software MailStore Home 10 released

MailStore Home 10 is the newest version of the popular email backup software solution for Windows that supports local and remote email accounts.
You can use the free MailStore Home client to back up emails from desktop email programs like Outlook or Thunderbird, local email files such as Mbox, PST or EML, and also from email servers using Pop3, IMAP or Microsoft Exchange.
You can use MailStore to back up your Gmail account for instance, or any other online account that supports either Pop3 or IMAP.
One interesting feature of MailStore is that all emails remain searchable in the interface. Simply run a search, and use filters if you want to, to find specific emails that you have backed up in the past. This works regardless of backup source and is one of the handiest features of the application.
MailStore Home 10
The new version of MailStore Home 10 is already available on the official project website. If you have MailStore Home installed already on your system, you may run a check for updates right from within the application.
This should get the new version picked up, and if you want downloaded and installed right away.
MailStore Home 10 will upgrade the email archives automatically on start to fully encrypt the databases. The email program encrypted email contents and sensitive information before, but now all of the database is encrypted.
Another new feature of MailStore Home 10 is password protection. It is now possible to password protect archives to prevent unauthorized access.
If you don't add a password, anyone with access to the running computer may open the program and with it access all emails that you have archived using the backup program.
Please note that it is required to save or print the recovery key. This is your only option to recover an archive if you forget your password.
The remaining changes are mostly fixes and improvements. For instance, it is now possible to click on hyperlinks in dialogs, and to get Google's consent to archive emails from a Google server, the default web browser is used to open the dialog and no longer an embedded browser.
Closing Words
The security improvements are welcome. The full encryption of the archives means that no information, meta information for instance, may leak even if an attacker manages to get hold of the archive or access to the PC.
The password protection security feature is another welcome addition. While not necessary in all cases, you may want to enable password protection if others may access the PC or if you just want that extra bit of security for your archived emails.
All in all, a great update of an impressive program.
Now You: Do you back up your emails?

You said that Outlook isn’t your main email client, so which is your main one?
I think its thunderbird
It is Mozilla Thunderbird.
Awesome! This actually solved my problem… what a stupid bug.
If this is the same bug that I’ve encountered, there may be another fix: (1) hover over open Outlook item in Taskbar, cursor up to hover over Outlook window item, and right-click; (2) this should give you Restore / Move / Size / Minimize / Maximize — choose Move or Size; (3) use your cursor keys, going arbitrarily N/S/E/W, to try to move or size the Outlook window back into view. Basically, the app behaves as though it were open in a 0x0 window, or at a location that’s offscreen, and this will frequently work to resize and/or move the window. Don’t forget to close while resized/moved, so that Outlook remembers the size/position for next time.
THANK YOU Claude!!! I could get the main window to launch but could not get any other message window to show on the desktop. You are my hero!!!!
Solved my issue! 6 years later and this is still problem…
Fantastic. Thank you. Size did the trick.
