Autosensitivity is a free program for Microsoft Windows devices with touchpads to control the sensitivity of the touchpad and mouse individually.
Laptop owners usually can use the built-in touchpad or a computer mouse on their devices, and most owners will surely agree that the usability differs highly depending on that choice.
The Windows operating system offers no option to configure different sensitivities for mouse and touchpad uses which can be extremely frustrating for users who switch between both input methods regularly.
The free software program AutoSensitivity changes that by offering an option to set different sensitives for mouse and touchpad use.
The program requires the Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5 or 4.0. It has not been updated in a while but should run fine on all modern versions of Windows including versions not listed explicitly on the project's website as compatible.
The application displays a single screen with options to set different sensitivities. Sliders are available for both touchpad and mouse to change the sensitivity on the fly. It is furthermore possible to get the actual sensitivity with a click on the Get Current button.
A click on apply saves the new sensitivity settings which are from that moment on available on the system.
AutoSensitivity allows you to define different mouse sensitivities (speeds) for your touchpad and mouse and automatically switch between them (based on mouse connect / disconnect).
This utility is for everyone who wishes to uses different mouse speeds (sensitivities) with touchpad and mouse. If you do not want to change the speed everytime you plug in a mouse, this utility is for you. You simply define two different speeds and the utility automaticaly switches between them accodring to you pluging and unpluging your mouse. Please read the Documentation for more information.
The application will from then on switch the mouse sensitivity automatically depending on the input device without further user interaction. Users who switch regularly and find the application useful, can set it to run at system startup so that it is automatically available. If not, it is required to run the program so that the different sensitivities are applied.
AutoSensitivity is available at the Codeplex website. The application can be run on systems that have the Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5 installed.
Autosensitivity is a handy program for Windows users who switch between mouse and touchpad use on mobile devices regularly and want different sensitivities when using these input methods.
