Better Youtube Firefox Extension

If there is one Firefox add-on for Youtube that sticks out of the crowd it’s the Better Youtube extension by Lifehacker. Better Youtube is a compilation of Greasemonkey scripts compiled together in an add-on which has several advantages. The first is that Greasemonkey does not have to be installed to use the advanced features that the add-on provides, another that you only install one add-on and not five or six Greasemonkey scripts.

Higher Quality Videos starting to appear on Youtube

When we read the announcement that higher quality videos would come to Youtube we were delighted that the video quality would finally see an upgrade. Apparently the conversion has started and some videos are already available in different quality versions. It still looks like Youtube is testing settings and stuff and that not everyone can access those higher quality videos yet.

Lyrics for Youtube Videos

The chance of finding a music video is very high on Youtube. It does not really matter if you are looking for the latest Billboard charts videos or videos from the Seventies, they are all available on Youtube. One thing that is missing though are lyrics for those music videos. While some uploaders add the lyrics in the description most do not add them.

Stage6 to shut down

Stage6 is shutting down. That’s the announcement on the main page of the video portal that was posted today. Let me fill you in if you are amongst the many that have never heard of that video portal before. Stage6 is directly connected to the developers of the Divx codec, a high definition video portal.
