Was using iTunes for a long time until I wanted to copy some songs from the iPod to a computer and realised that iTunes did not offer that function at all. I decided to look for alternatives and found the freeware Yamipod which is really great and has all the functions that I need.

The first great feature of the software is that it does not need to be installed and therefor does not mess with your system. Download, unpack and run: thats all. Second it does offer a great overview of your songs and albums at startup making it very easy to rename and delete albums and songs. The main window displays all playlists as well with the option to create new playlists using drag and drop.

Yamipod offers to add lyrics to your songs as well as most features of iTunes like synchronising your iPod with the songs on your computer, remove duplicate songs and export songs and playlists.

Let me know if you are using a different (freeware) tool which offers the same functionality, always looking for better tools..
