Everton said that I should post a list of plugins that I would use at Ghacks from time to time and this is what I decided to do right now. He actually told me so in an email asking what comment plugin I was using that allowed users to edit their comments for 15 minutes after making the comment.
Cheryl emailed me this morning telling me that her password would not be accepted by Wordpress after registering a new account although she was sure that she did type it correctly. The message that would appear was always “Incorrect Password”. My first step of solving this problem was to change the password to “test” and try the login procedure again.

A new version of the blogging plattform Wordpress has been released today. It is an advised update for every webmaster especially for those with register_globals enabled. A security vulnerability was found that can be exploited if that setting is enabled.

I finally made the switch to Wordpress 2.3 after pondering for a little while if I should upgrade this early or wait until I was sure that everything would be still working after the switch. The major problem that I saw was the new tagging system that was build into Wordpress 2.3 which was incompatible with the tagging system of the prior versions and especially with the plugin that I have been using for over a year: Simple Tagging.
