The Nirsoft application comes with the usual traits which include portability and data export.

The program can be executed right from the location where it was unpacked to after download. It will display a list of all processes that are currently running on the computer system given the user the choice to monitor one of them. Every write to the Windows Registry will be recorded in the program’s interface afterwards with the option to stop the monitoring at any time.

The Registry changes that have been discovered can be exported as .reg. It is furthermore possible to copy selected entries only which could then be stored in .reg files or regular text files as well. The program can be configured to either show the last modified values which is the default display mode or the original values in its interface. RegFromApp is monitoring both as long as the monitoring process is running. A command line version is available to run the program with parameters from the command line.

RegFromApp is compatible with Windows 2000, Windows XP and Windows Vista
