The interesting aspect of this release is that Microsoft has actually put together a guide that many experienced computer users feel quite comfortable with and that could help inexperienced users increase the responsiveness and speed of Windows Vista.

The guide includes tips like disabling unneeded startup items, disabling unwanted services, disabling visual effects or to adjust search settings. That’s a basic set of tasks that most experienced users do after installing an operating system. It also means that experienced users will probably not find anything new in the guide that they do not already know about.

The Windows Vista Performance and Tuning Guide is therefor clearly aimed at computer users who do not have that experience but want a faster Windows Vista operating system. It’s definitely a very nice read with good instructions to guide the users through the changes that they can make.

<span

Then this guide will show you how you can do just that!

The unattended windows guide has been broken into three parts: Beginner, Intermediate and Advanced.

The Beginner portion will cover the updating of your CD, along with automating setup itself.

The Intermediate portion covers adding Drivers and Applications to your CD, as well as User creation and other little tidbits.

The Advanced section is where it gets really fun. We’ll customize the look and feel of your setup, as well as add hacked files to remove the limits put upon the system.

A great guide especially for those who install windows quite often..
