Xray is a bookmarklet that can be used in Firefox, Internet Explorer 6+ and Safari that displays CSS Properties of elements on a website. The process is as simple as it could be. The user loads a website, clicks on the Xray bookmarklet which loads an overlay that will display the information.

Check, Log and React on Website Downtimes
A rule of thumb is that websites or servers go down in an inappropriate moment either when you are sleeping, at work or in another location where you cannot check if your website or server is still up and running. A website that is not available for eight ore more consecutive hours can do serious harm to its reputation and possible revenue that is generated.

Google Adsense Revenue and Traffic Comparision
I’m using Google Adsense for more than two years to monetize Ghacks and experienced some ups and downs. I thought it would be nice to create a graph that would put Adsense revenue in relation to the traffic that my website received. This could give courage to those webmasters who are currently struggling with their Adsense revenue especially when it dropped suddenly while the traffic remained more or less on the same level.

Check if a website is revealing email addresses
You need to use the tools of the trade to check if your website is revealing emails from visitors or yourself. Most webmasters have a contact form somewhere on the page which is sometimes revealing the real email address of the webmaster. But even tricks like adding spaces to the email address, a REMOVEME part, writing (at) instead of @ and other means are recognizable by some email harvesters that do nothing else but to harvest websites and the websites that they link to for new email addresses.

Add FTP Upload to Right-click menu
RightLoad adds the ability to upload selected files to a ftp directly which removes the step to start the ftp client, choose the ftp server, browse the local hard drives and the possible location on the ftp server. All this can be set in RightLoad which should be a really useful software for most webmasters who regularly upload files to their ftps.

Autofill Forms for Firefox
I regularly register at websites that either force me to register to leave a comment or that offer such great value that I want to join to become a member of the community. The signup process is always the same. Enter a username, a password, a valid email and if you want several additional information about yourself to register at that website.

My Blog Earnings for July 2007
July has passed pretty quickly for me with two vacations and it was a rather unspectacular month in regards to ghacks as well. My earnings remained pretty stable throughout the month with the usual fluctuation in Adsense earnings. I’m really not sure why the difference between the worst day (Saturday, July 14, 2007 – 2,44% of my Adsense earnings) and the best day (Sunday, July 15, 2007 – 3,97% of my Adsense earnings) was so immense considering that the best day followed the worst day immediately.
