Software Updates Week 43 2007
It is Wednesday again and this means it is time for the weekly software updates. I collect information about the software updates of the last seven days and list all updated softwares in the list below. Only applications that have been mentioned at Ghacks before will be in the list.
Updatestar check if Software Updates are available
Updatestar seems to be the most comprehensive software to scan your system for installed applications and check whether updates for those found are available. I did try several similar applications like Secunia Personal Software Inspector in the past but was somewhat disappointed by the small amount of softwares that could be detected.
Autopatcher August 2007 released
The Autopatcher team seems to be back on track with the release of core and update Autopatcher files for Windows XP, Windows 2000 and Windows 2003 Server. Additionally, and for the first time, Autopatcher files for Office 2002, 2003 and 2007 have been released as well.

Keeping up with application updates can be a very tedious task even if you have only a handful of them installed on your system. If the software has no update reminder you have to manually visit the developers homepage and see if an update is available.
