The remove programs module in the Windows Control Panel offers basic means to uninstall software in Windows. The tool is severely limited which becomes obvious when problems are encountered. Every Windows user will likely experience situations where software cannot be removed using the standard remove programs module. The uninstallation simply stops or does not start [...]
Device Driver Cleanup
It is sometimes not possible to remove all device drivers and Registry settings for a device in the Windows operating system. So called leftovers can cause a series of problems from slow boot times to performance and stability issues. Trying to cleanup the device drivers manually is a complicated long winded process as it does [...]
Uninstall Software Cleaner
Software programs that get installed on the computer system can be uninstalled using the supplied uninstaller or by simply deleting the program folder of the application. Doing the latter will keep traces of the software program on the computer, for example in the uninstall programs dialog and the Windows Registry. Uninstall Cleaner is a uninstall [...]
Revo Uninstaller 1.5

I have been using MyUninstaller until now which is faster and comes with some comfort like removing entries from the list of installed programs and details about the software that has been installed.
A better software uninstaller
I was always puzzled by the fact that uninstallers would not delete all data, folders and files created by an installation script but would leave traces of that program on the system. What sense does it make to keep registry settings, config files or empty folders on the system if the user opts to remove the software ?
