The skin pack is a total conversion pack for Windows, which means that it will make changes to many different areas of Windows. It is highly recommended to create a System Restore point and – if possible – a system backup before installing the new theme on the computer system.

The skin pack incorporates many different programs and tools, including Universal Theme Patcher, Windows 7 Boot Updater, Rocketdock and themes, wallpapers, icons and cursors designed by various artists. The download has a total size of 29.5 Megabytes.

The developer recommends to uninstall existing skin packs on the system and to turn off the user account control feature of the system before installing the Halloween skin on the PC.

Provided for download on the developer’s Deviant Art page are installers for 32-bit and 64-bit editions of the Windows 7 operating system.

The Halloween theme changes the Windows theme, icons, the operating system’s login screen, boot screen, wallpapers, cursors and other elements during installation. The Halloween skin pack is compatible with both Windows 7 and Windows 7 Service Pack 1 operating systems.

Some users may need to run the skin installer with elevated rights so that all changes to the system can be applied.

Please note that the installation of the skin pack will make many modifications to the Windows operating system. While it is relatively easy to install the skin pack as it is supplied as a single executable, users may run into problems restoring their old system settings in case the operation goes wrong. We would like to ask you to comment on the new theme and especially notify us if you encounter problems of any kind including page load errors, display errors and any other kind of error that is dampening your user experience. And we would of course like to listen to your opinion about the new theme.

Their was one disadvantage however… using any other Google service meant having to go back to the minimal and white Googley look which really doesn’t do a great deal for me.

Today however I saw on Lifehacker that the talented team behind the Gmail style have now released it for GCal as well, which is fantastic news.

You can see how much better it looks then the default style, and we can only hope that Google Reader is next on the list for getting this theme.

It doesn’t make any kind of difference to productivity, but it sure makes it a better experience to use.

It’s still in beta but you can download it here, you’ll need the Stylish extension as well. Lifehacker is saying it will be incorporated into the next update of the Better GCal extension.

The theme is designed to be redeveloped and modified by others to create more Gmail styles which is great news as there sure aren’t many around. You can check out the style sheet here.

More likely though is that not all ad impressions are served in that theme which could either mean that I was hacked and someone else was making use of the other 50% of my impressions or that the theme was not delivering them properly to some browsers. I’m still investigating and hope that everything will turn back to normal with the old theme.

This would at least tell me that the new theme was somehow responsible for the drop. Just wanted to give you the heads up why the old theme is suddenly showing up again.

It can be that the site will not be available for a while every now and then throughout the day because of the new theme. It takes a while to install everything the way I want it, hope you understand this.

I like to know what you think of the new theme. Better ? Worse ? Faster ? Slower ? Let me know please.

I really can say that because I tried a lot of advertising schemes and found the ones that are implemented in the theme to be the most rewarding ones. It is furthermore really easy to add other schemes or remove some that you do not want to use. I tried to keep the theme as ad free as possible while being able to create huge revenue from it.
