Join The Experiment: One Week Of Bing Only Searching

What better way to test a new or improved search engine than to be stuck with it for a full week without being able to fall back to other search engines. Bing is the new Microsoft search engine and we would like to invite each and everyone of you to test the ins and outs of the new search engine by forcing yourself to use it. We have created a set of rules in case you want to join the experiment so that you know what you are allowed to do and what not (not that we are going to punish you if you perform the occasional search using another search engine).

Bing Experiment Rules:

Use Bing exclusively for all of your searches for the next seven days
Write down what went well and what did not
Let us know your overall experience and rating of the search engine after the week
You may perform the exact same search in another search engine to compare results
You may also perform the exact same search in another search engine if Bing does not provide the results that you expect
You may use other search engines to look at search engine rankings

Now that we have established the rules of the experiment we would like to offer participants an incentive to take part. We are going to give away five Ghacks t-shirts to five random participants providing that we get that many users participating.

Ghacks T-Shirt Competition Winners

The Ghacks T-Shirt competition has ended a few days ago and I finally found some time to draw the ten lucky ones who all get a free Ghacks T-Shirt. Free means totally free including shipping to any place here on earth, it might just take a while before it arrives.

I will contact all winners by email asking them about the T-Shirt design that they want, the size and their shipping address so that I can buy the shirts in the shop. Yes, I actually buy those T-Shirts myself, no sponsoring of any kind is happening here.

I’d like to point out that I will hold a competition every now and then that will have more t-shirts as prices so stay tuned or head over to the shop and buy one right away. Below are the two designs available at the shop.

Ghacks T-Shirt Competition

I’m very proud to announce that the first two t-shirt designs for Ghacks have been finally completed and are now available in the Splitreason Online Store. You can take a look at the Ghacks T-Shirts right now or wait and see what I have to offer. I think it’s something to celebrate, especially if you consider the quality of the shirts. I like them both and have ordered four already to see how they feel and look in real.

I would like to offer this opportunity to ten readers as well. We did not have a competition for some time and I thought it would be a perfect fit for a competition. Here are the rules. I’m giving away ten Ghacks T-Shirts completely free of charge paid out of my own pocket.

The shirts will be shipped worldwide to your location and you can pick the design and size that you want from the choices available. All you need to do to win a t-shirt is to tell me a little bit about your relation to my site. Maybe how you came to know it, what you like or don’t like, the funniest / worst / best / most helpful article here at Ghacks or anything else that you can think of.

If you do that you take part in the competition. Only one comment per user obviously counts to make it fair for everyone. But first, lets take a look at the designs to see if you want one or if you say, omg I would never wear that, hehe.

Anti-DRM T-Shirt Designs

The sites Torrentfreak and Beautiful Crime announced an Anti-DRM T-Shirt competition a while ago and all entries to the competition have been posted on the Torrentfreak website. All 46 T-Shirt designs can be seen and everyone may vote for their favorite T-Shirt design. Who would have thought that this competition would get such a large amount of entrants ?

You can find some really clever designs among the 46 and I would like to display the five designs that I liked the most here at Ghacks. Just head over to the Torrentfreak website to take a look at all of the designs. The winning design will receive a price of $250, the second one of $100 and the third a price of $50.

All three winning designs will go into print and be available for $15 afterwards. Money made from the T-Shirts will go to charity.
