Hej everyone. I’m still in the beautiful capital of Sweden which is a wonderful city even though most Swedes have left for Midsummer. What I really like about Stockholm is that you can reach everything with your feet.
My hotel is just next to T Centralen (Main Station) and it is only a few hundred meters to the Old Town with the King’s palace and many other remarkable buildings. Most stores were closed yesterday which was rather unfortunate.
Jönköping, Sweden, November 30th to December 3rd, Dreamhack. The place the biggest lan party on earth takes place. The aim of the organization for the winter event (there is also a summer event) is 10000 attenders. Last winter saw more than 7000 attenders and it is most likely that the 10000 goal will be reached. Why I’m writing about this ? Well, I’m considering going there, if you see the pictures and videos of previous events you know why. This is unbelievable.
The Pirate Party is a swedish party that has three main goals: Protected Privacy, Free Knowledge and Shared Culture. You might have heard that the Swedish police raided the internet company that hosted among others the piratebay.org servers. They managed to seize all servers hosted in the datacenter meaning not only servers that were connected to the piratebay were taken from the net but also servers of independent companies and individuals that were not connected to the piratebay by any means.
