The PS3 Slim was yesterday confirmed at Sony’s press conference at the Gamescom in Cologne, Germany. The new gaming system will be sold at $299 (€299, £249) and will be available in the first week of September. The biggest differences when compared to the old Playstation 3 system are the bigger 120 Gigabyte hard drive [...]

Three Things That Are Holding Back The Sony PS3
It has been 2 ½ years since the PS3 has launched and since that time it has been trailing both the Wii and Xbox 360 in sales. Granted it has been doing better then it has a year ago, but you’d expect that Sony would be able to convince hardcore gamers that the PS3’s superior [...]

European Playstation 3 compatibility list
Europeans get a weaker software emulation of Playstation 2 and Playstation 1 titles compared to the hardware emulation that Japanese and American Playstation 3 owners enjoyed. It was not known – until now – how good, or shall I say bad, the software emulation worked and how many games could be played at all. Replace the Playstation 3 Hd with a bigger one

Did anyone actually buy the Playstation 3 for himself or did they all want to make a fortune by selling the system on Ebay ? With fake biddings reaching a million and more dollars Ebay decided to pull the plug and allow only auctions where the seller was able to prove that he did own the system at that time.

PS3 delayed for Europe
I suppose you already heard the news that Sonys new Ubermachine Playstation 3 will not have a worldwide launch because of production problems. Sony once again decided to smack every European who wanted to buy the system right into the face without caring much that Europe is indeed one of the biggest markets for Sony with more than 38 million Playstation 2 systems sold compared to 42 million in the United States and 23 million in Japan.
