Megaupload is a file hoster just like Rapidshare that has restrictions set in place for guests that are downloading files from their website. Everyone who wants to download a file from Megaupload has to wait a certain time before they can start the download. Another restriction is a so called country limit. If the maximum number of downloaders from a specific country has been reached all others from that country will have to wait until the amount of downloaders drops below that figure.

I thought it would be nice to write a definite guide about rapidshare. Which rapidshare hacks, tools and tricks are working, which are not. Rapidshare imposes a download and timelimit on non premium users of their service. Downloading from Rapidshare is only possible with one connection at a time and rapidshare limits the size of the files that you download to 30 megabytes every hour.

This freeware application might be useful to some who are still downloading from rapidshare. You will need some experience with proxies, I´ll get to that later. As we all know rapidshare.de has a timelimit and a downloadlimit for every IP address that connects to their service. Now, what would be a great way to circumvent those limits ? Right, change your IP address and you are ready to download again. You could do this by manually changing the proxy server in your browsers settings or you could use a tool like the grabber.

Rapid leech is a fine server script that is able to download files from sites like rapidshare using a server instead of your home connection which speeds up the download process. You need of course a server to install the script and run it from there.
