Do you create text documents and write the notes in there, do you use Post-It notes and stick them to your monitor or desktop or do you prefer to use a software like Shock Sticker which combines the Post-It functionality with that of the text document ?

Shock Sticker is an old application. You can see that if you try to install it, the installation menu looks like Windows 95 but it works fine. Once installed a small icon in your system tray appears which creates a new sticker when left-clicking it. A right-click displays a menu with additional options such as to display all created stickers, creating or changing the password or saving everything that has been created.

Newly created stickers have a title bar and a text area. You can write as much text as you want into the text area but for the sake of quickly looking notes up I would suggest to keep it as short as possible. Basic text editing possibilities can be used, those include changing the font and the color of the font.

The title of the sticker can be modified by hitting F2 or left-clicking the upper-left icon which opens a menu with the option to do so. All notes can be made sticky which means that they will always be on top.

Clicking the minimize icon shrinks the note so that only the title is shown. Another click changes the size to the default one again. Setting a password might be a good idea if you write down personal notes. If no password is set everyone can read all the notes that you have created with Shock Sticker.

If a password is set the password has to be entered before a note can be viewed or edited.

Shock Sticker is a good but basic way of keeping notes in a Post-It like format on your PC.

Read More:

Shock Sticker<br

It is a small post-it-note utility in your Windows(tm) taskbar icon tray. It is easy to use, come with striking color, and will not clutter your computer screen at all.

In addition, it supports Asian language input and selection of different fonts type. It is portable, you can put it on your USB memory stick and run it anywhere you go! Very useful for users who want to write small reminder or memo fast and stick it on computer screen.

download it from <a

It is perhaps the smallest Windows applications, or perhaps not. It is very small. Picostick is a refreshing alternative to the Sticky Notes Accessory featured in Windows. Sticky Notes are fine if you like having the image of a post-it-note on your desktop at all times until you delete it. If you have many notes, the clutter is excessive and unnecessary. Picostick allows you to show or hide notes from a context menu in the utility tray icon or from a desktop icon. Right – click on the icon and select New Note.

A small note field will open on the desktop. You can enter text for reminders, favorite quotes, funnies or whatever you like. The advantages of this are obvious and you save paper. The classic paper post-it-notes are a thing of the past and notes from Picostick will not fall off of the desktop the way that analog notes do. From the context menu, you can either hide notes or show them. They can be dragged to any location on the desktop, much as Sticky Notes can. Just click and drag the border of the note. Picostick notes are much smaller than Sticky Notes, but you can enter a significant amount of text in the field if necessary.

All you have to do is either leave the notes on the desktop or remember to select Show Notes when you boot so that you catch important reminders. Hide the notes whenever you want by clicking Hide Notes in the context menu.

No installation is needed. This is a simple executable file with only essential features without any frills. Better still, it is portable and you can save it on a USB memory stick to use between various computers. The notes are stored on the USB stick and will show or hide on your business desktop, home desktop, or laptop. People never really carried around paper post-its from place to place, so this is much more practical. There is an option to customize the font as you see fit

When you are finished with any particular note, right – click the border and click Delete Note.

Notice that you do not have to go back to the utility tray constantly to create new notes or hide them. The same options are available from the right-click in the border of any note. Another option for hiding or showing the notes is to double – click the utility tray or desktop icon for either option. If the notes are shown, they will be hidden and if they are hidden, they will be shown. This is useful for users who have a crazy assortment of reminders to keep track of.

Since the utility remembers every note that you make (except those that have been deleted), you will not have to load the notes whenever it is run. You have the option to auto-run the utility at Windows logon by checking the “Start with Windows” menu option. This is a great way to organize reminders.<br
