I sometimes use a screenshot software to save a single image that I need but if its about several or even all images of a PDF document then a tool like Some PDF Image Extract is the application of choice simply because it is so much faster than the manual approach.

PDF Image Extract was designed with ease of use in mind. The user can load multiple pdf documents at once which are then queued in the main program window. Information about each pdf document are provided in the lower pane.

The right contains settings for the output images. The range of pages that shall be processed can be selected as well as the output quality and format of the images.

A click on the start button processes all selected pdf documents. The images are saved into newly created directories in the pdf document root folders.
