The chance of finding a music video is very high on Youtube. It does not really matter if you are looking for the latest Billboard charts videos or videos from the Seventies, they are all available on Youtube. One thing that is missing though are lyrics for those music videos. While some uploaders add the lyrics in the description most do not add them.

Internet users from outside the United States are officially excluded from using Pandora to create their own radio stations with songs similar to the ones they have entered at the creation of the music station. Aggrega will surely profit from Pandora’s move although it does not offer the same service. By signing up with Aggrega you can create so called custom channels which are created automatically after assigning a name and a group, artist or genre to them. All videos seem to be taken from Youtube as of now which should not be a problem because I think they are added manually to the database.

Now that is what I call a niche search engine. Youtube is big, sometimes to big to find what you are looking for. Peter created a simple interface to search over 150000 music videos that are currently hosted on Youtube. The videos are embedded in the page as well which makes it probably the fastest method to search for music videos on Youtube. I’m not exactly sure how he managed to get all those videos in this database or if he used a script to do it, lots of work nevertheless.

Fabchannel is offering a big online archive of concerts that took place either in Paradiso or Melkwegs. Both of which seem to be dutch clubs / concert halls. The archive consists of more than 50 concerts covering genres like Hip Hop, Rock, Metal and Pop. You are able to watch concerts of bands like Simple Minds, The Gathering and Wir sind Helden for instance.
