Ever had to find a file in the windows folder or another large folder like system32 ? The freeware Windows Multienhancer enlarges the dialog box that displays the files and adds additional information like file size and the date the file was modified. This is done by patching the Comdlg32.dll if the version that is installed on your computer is supported by Windows Multienhancer.

To check if the dll is supported right-click it in the windows\system32 folder and selected properties. Select the version tab and compare the version number that is displayed to the versions that are patchable in Windows Multienhancer. If the file can be patched a new size for the dialog box will be automatically suggested but you can change it if you like.

The freeware is also able to patch annoying message boxes in Outlook Express and Internet Explorer. Four messages are removed in Outlook Express, those are:

  1. You are currently working offline. Would you like to go online now?
  2. No connection to the internet is currently available…. Click Try Again to attempt to connect ?
  3. Would you like to hangup the modem before going offline?
  4. You have unsent messages in your Outbox. Do you want to send them now?

Finally two messages can be removed in the Internet Explorer, those are:

  1. The webpage you requested is not available offline. To view this page click Connect
  2. No connection to the internet is currently available….. Click Try Aagain to connect.

To do this it has to patch the files Comdlg32.DLL, Wininet.DLL, Msoe.DLL.
