Several websites are already reporting the release of the final Firefox 2.0.0.10 version. While this version seems to be indeed the final version it is not available widely on the primary and secondary Mozilla mirror ftp servers. The main server at mozilla.org is giving an interesting Permission Denied error when opting to download the latest Firefox 2 release.
The Thunderbird has landed
A new version of the popular email client Thunderbird is available on the public Mozilla ftp site. No announcement yet on the official Thunderbird website and the update function from within Thunderbird is also not picking up this new version yet. The version on the official Mozilla Thunderbird website still lists version 2.0.0.6.
Get Firefox 2.0.0.7 early
Firefox 2.0.0.7 is out and can be downloaded from various ftp sites. One of those sites is the main Mozilla ftp site so it’s as good as official. The announcement should be added to the Firefox homepage today as well which means that it is a wise move to download it now before the storm breaks loose.
Thunderbird 2.0.0.4 released
A new version of my favorite mail client Thunderbird has just been released on an Mozilla mirror ftp site and will most likely be available on the website and by automatic updates later this day. If you can’t wait to get your hands on the latest version you could download the latest Thunderbird release for Windows or Linux.
