The first is to clear it completely either manually in the Firefox options or automatically on exit. The second works only on the website the data has been entered but allows to delete items selectively. Entering at least one char in the form will display results that are stored in the form history. Moving over one of the entries without selecting it and pressing the delete key on the keyboard will delete that entry from the web browser’s form history.

While this might work in some cases it is obviously not the best way of managing form history data. The Firefox add-in Form History Control changes that by offering options to manage the form history of the web browser effectively.

<span

It adds a new entry to the Firefox tools menu that gives access to a form management control center. It will display all form data that has been saved by the web browser with options to filter the data either by keyword, active page, active form or cleanup criteria. It is furthermore possible to sort the data by parameter including form field name, value, data or popularity.

Each entry can be edited in the interface which is very helpful to correct misspelled entries in the history saving the hassle of deleting and entering the data anew. Individual or multiple entries can be deleted right from within the interface.

<img

It includes options to remove form history data that has not been used for some time (default 90 days) and those that have been used less than x times (default 1). Another interesting option is the ability to import and export selected form data which might be interested for users who work with Firefox on multiple computer systems.

Form History Control offers a sophisticated way to manage form data in the Firefox web browser.
