We already know that most iPod can store various information next to music and videos. Wikipedia can be uploaded as well as information about subways in various citys. The iPod city guide is another excellent application for most iPods, including iPod Nano and iPod Video, which adds information about more than 300 cities to your iPod. Only 4-5 can be added at the same time to your iPod because the amount of notes that the iPod can store is limited.

This is excellent if you are travelling a lot. Information are displayed in categories including the useful attractions, hotels, restaurants and nightlife. The iPod City Guide is available for Mac and Windows and has to be downloaded and run from your computer to sync the information with your iPod. You may add all or only some of the citys that are available in the guide.

Please note that you will have to enable your iPod as a hard disk to be able to use this application. To do this enable the option Disk use in the iTunes options.

You can remove certain categories that you do not need from the city information to be able to store more cities with less information in your iPod. It is also possible to add information like hotels or restaurants to the iPod.
