Joost Live Test Run Tomorrow
I just wanted to remind you that Joost is running their first big Live test run tomorrow with NCAA March Madness. It begins Thursday at 12:20 p.m. EDT / 4:20 p.m. GMT and ends after the last game which is scheduled for 9:55 PM EDT. 16 games will be streamed live on that day and it will be interesting to see how the Joost client will handle that kind of traffic.

Joost to test live streaming
According to New Tee Vee Joost is going to start a public live streaming test today. A new client will be released for that purpose becoming available today as well. The first public live stream will be a video chat with the Joost technical team, a first test so to say to see if everything runs smoothly.

Watch Local TV Online with Any TV
The Internet offers several ways to view TV with your computer. Some TV stations offer tv shows on websites, some download clients and media players. Then we have those independent TV clients like Joost, Bablegum and Zattoo plus all those Asian P2P clients that stream TV – most of the time in Chinese – to your computer. And then there is another possibility, local stations. Most of those stations are independent stations that offer their TV program as a stream on their website.

HBO on Broadband soon coming to a computer near you
The latest trends in the United States of America seem to be to create TV Channel portals offering streams of tv shows for authorized users. The other trend seems to be to push pay per bandwidth Internet which does not really match that well if you ask me. So, this time it’s HBO with the announcement that a service called HBO on Broadband will go live tomorrow for subscribers living in the Wisconsin area with plans to expand the services later this year.
