You might have noticed that I added so called avatars to the comments that you write. I thought it would be nice to personalize ghacks a little bit more and add avatar support. All you need to do to add your own avatar is to visit mybloglog and register for a free account there. This is not only helpful for my site but all sites that support this option. Everton from connected internet uses the same system for example.

The freeware IconX makes it possible to change any icon that you can get your hands on in Windows. It takes care of file type and specific files, folders and even drives. The installation is pretty simple. Download the IconX software and right-click IconX.inf and select install to install the shell extension. Please note that you need to write the author to receive a validation code because the software was shareware and is now freeware.

Oh well, the name wonderful icon is not really helping when you try to figure out what this freeware does. The main purpose is to assign new hotkeys to windows. The program offers you a great deal of predefined actions that can be assigned to an hotkey, for instance: Open Browser, Dos Box, Always on Top, Type Char xyz into window, reboot and many more. I would say there are around 100+ predefined actions and you also have the ability to create new ones very easily.
