Google Maps is probably the most popular example. The Google Maps api is used by many web developers to create new web services that include realtime flight tracking or racing games. All of these web applications are independent from each other which makes it difficulty to track new ones and get an overview of existing web applications that use Google apis.

Goollery, which is a combination of the words Google and Gallery, is a collection of Google related projects on the web. Or, as the developers put it: “Goollery is an online gallery dedicated to collect, archive and showcase the most creative, fun and innovative Google-related projects from around the world.”

<span

The second tier navigation menu contains the Google related projects that have been added to the selected category while the majority of screen space has been reserved for a picture (or pictures) and short description of the Google related service.

A project link is available on every page that will load the web service in a new web browser tab or window. Users and web developers can submit new Google related projects which will be reviewed by the webmasters and added to the service if they meet the quality guidelines.

Goollery offers links to interesting Google related projects. It would be nice if the developer’s would add a date for each Google project that they have added to the website so that the age of the project becomes clearer to the visitor.
