A deal between Life and Google makes more than 10 million photographic images available on the Internet. The collection spans from the 1750s to today. Google provides a special search engine for the collection that makes use of the Google Image Search engine.

I bet you all know the google image search service which displays only thumbails of pictures that are related to your search terms. You load the full sized image by clicking on one of the thumbnails and may save that one manually to your hard drive. This process is taking a long time if you for example would like to save the first 100 results because they look all so nice..
