Some of you probably remember the 1991 classic Another World which was released on the Amiga system among others. I loved the game, it had fantastic animation and graphics for the time and it played just fine. Was pretty hard as well but I probably was not that good at playing games at that time. The game was using vector graphics and someone decided that it would be a nice idea to scale the vectors to offer a high res version of the game. You can see and download the results at the another world fanpage. Downloads are only available for pc but that should not be a problem for most. (with the amiga system being nearly dead and all)

If you are into games Sudoku might be worth a try. You probably have not heard about it so here is an explanation of Sudoku: Each Sudoku has a unique solution that can be reached logically without guessing. A game consists of a big 9×9 square that is divided into 9 3×3 squares. Every row and every column must have every number from 1 to 9 listed once as must every 3×3 square.

Linux has a bad image when it comes to gaming. Most games are developed for windows, sometimes a linux version will be released as well but most of the time this is not the case. The site games for linux lists many games that are available for free for a linux operating system. Every game has a screenshot and some basic information like size and website of the maker included. Every game is rated by its users which should give you a first impression of the quality of the game. Unfortunatly no hint is given on how many users have voted for the game. Nevertheless it´s great as a first indicator for the game.

So, you are sick of World of Warcraft, of Battlefield 2 and Counterstrike Source ? You want to experience something new ? You´ve come to the right place my friend. I found a site that contains an extensive, and I mean extensive, list of many, and I mean many (hrhr) games that are free to play and concentrate on multiplayer experience. I don´t think it´s possible to test them all but you might just test all games that look interesting and fit the category of games that you like most.

Gnome posted a nice list of freeware games over at his lair and I suggest you pay his site a visit if you are looking for new games. Some have been mentioned already in similar toplists but some are new or at least unknown to me. It looks like 20 hand picked games and reference links to more sources for additional games.
