I have to admit that I like to play flash games from time to time and enjoy some tremendously. Brian was nice enough to send me an invite for the gaming website The Casual Collective which takes a different stance than all those other arcade sites out there. I wrote about some real heavyweights the last Fridays which is why I would like to write about a pretty interesting flash game today. Treasure of the Cutlass Reef is a game that reminded me a little bit of the oldschool Pirates on the C-64 back in the time when wonderful games would fit on a disk that had storage capacities of less than one Megabyte.

The popular Desktop Tower Defense game has been upgraded from version 1 to 1.5 bringing new excitement and frustration to the already excellent game. Several new enemies and towers have been included that make the game more enjoyable although I think that it did not rise in difficulty that much.

I can only talk about the medium mode that I tried today which I passed at first try and the challenge mode to beat 100 levels which is tough as always. I was not able to beat the challenge mode though, it becomes extremely difficulty at levels 75+ at least with the strategies that I have tried.

Hacking flash game high scores is considered unethical, please consider this before trying out this great hack. It is also not working on every site that offers flash games, just try it out and if the new high score is not submitted you have come to a website with additional protection. You do need the firefox extension tamper data which can be downloaded and installed from the mozilla website.

Bust a Move or Puzzle Bobble is a nice little game that has made it´s way to almost every console system that has been released in the last ten years. You task is to clear a stage that consists of colored bubbles on the top of every screen and two little dragons at the bottom who shot colored bubbles at the ceiling. If three or more bubbles of the same color come into contact they disappear. The screen gets smaller from time to time means you will have to hurry to get rid of all the bubbles before the screen reaches your little dragons at the bottom.

I always loved playing Heroes of Might and Magic games and I currently wait for the fifth installment of the series which is developed by a new team. Ubisoft created a minigame for the fifth version of Heroes of Might and Magic which is available at the website www.heroesmini.com. The game is a simple browsergame in which you chose a faction (all factions from the heroes game are available, like Haven and Dungeon) and buy armies. You have access to three army slots and can purchase all units of that faction. You pay the army with gold starting with 5000 gold which means you can only purchase a few relativly weak units at the beginning.
